Mole & Skin Tag Removal
Skin tags can appear anywhere on the body and commonly appear on the neck, upper chest, underarms and on eyelids.
Preparation
All moles MUST be checked by a GP or dermatologist prior to removal for safety reasons.
Pain
There is a small sting associated with the local anesthetic although with modern techniques this is very minimal and well tolerated. The procedure is painless and the local anesthesia takes a few hours to wear off. There is usually very little discomfort when the anesthetic wears off although the area may be tender to touch for a few days while it heals.
Aftercare
We advise avoiding getting sun on the area during the healing process to minimise scarring.
Downtime
Facial moles take 5 to 10 days for the scab to fall off and one to two months for the redness to fade. Lesions on the body take at least twice this time to heal. The application of silicon gel (available at any local chemist) will speed up this process.
Risks
Scarring is somewhat variable but is usually very acceptable. The wound may become infected but the risk of this is very small if proper wound care techniques are used.
Costs
Mole removal commences at $300 for the first mole and $50 for each additional mole removed in the same appointment. There will be a limit to how many moles can be removed in one appointment and you may be asked to book several appointments if you have more than 5 moles.

Following your laser treatment, you may notice redness, bleeding, bruising and swelling iat the site of treatment, which can last for several days to weeks.
It is normal for the treated area to feel a little sore and tender, for a few days post treatment. You will keep the treated area dry and intact following your treatment. We recommend to apply silicon gel to speed up the recovery process. Please refrain from getting the treated area wet until scab has fully fallen-off the treated area.
Avoid exposing the treated area to the sun for a minimum of 4 weeks following treatment.
Do not pick as scabbing can lead to scarring.
Makeup can be used over the treatment area so long as there is no extended redness, blistering or scabbing (mineral make-up is the best option).
Avoid any rubbing or friction movements on the treated area for three days post treatment.
Please contact our clinic if you experience any inflammatory reaction and/or side effect. If necessary, additional treatments, medications and/or surgery may be necessary. If out of hours, please attend your local medical centre or emergency department.
We will arrange a follow-up appointment for 4 weeks post-treatment at our clinic. If at any time you have questions or concerns, you should contact our clinic to arrange a face-to-face appointment.
In addition, we also offer (LED) to accelerate the healing process and can be added on for only $50 speeding up the revery time.
